UTHSC College of Medicine Honors 2012 Outstanding Alumni Award Recipients
Four University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) alumni will receive the 2012 College of Medicine Outstanding Alumni Award. Kelly Hunt, MD, Jon H. Robertson, MD, Bobby Higgs, MD, and Joseph A. Smith, MD, will be honored at the Alumni Awards Luncheon at noon on Friday, Oct. 12 at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tenn.

UTHSC Graduates 733 Health Care Professionals
UTHSC will graduate 733 health care professionals in a commencement ceremony at 1:30 p.m. May 25 in FedEx Forum. UTHSC Chancellor Steve J. Schwab, MD, will preside over the ceremony. UT System President Joe DiPietro will confer the degrees and give the charge to the graduates.
UTM Receives $200,000 Race to the Top Grant
The University of Tennessee at Martin received the largest amount awarded to any institution this year from the federal Race to the Top grant for the STEM Professional Development Program.

UTK Celebrates 'Thank-A-Giver' Day
More than 200 gift tags are being hung all over the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, campus to celebrate “Thank A Giver” (TAG) day on Friday, April 20. The event celebrates the success of the $1 billion Campaign for Tennessee.

Alumni Association Unveils New Tools for Networking, Job Searching
With the employment rate not expected to rebound anytime soon, the University of Tennessee Alumni Association is making it easier for alumni to use their alma mater as a launch pad toward a new job.
University of Tennessee Confers Nearly 4,000 Degrees in December
On UT campuses across the state, nearly 4,000 students received undergraduate and graduate degrees in December. Graduates of the summer and fall semesters total about 2,500 at UT Knoxville, more than 600 at UT Martin, 665 at UT Chattanooga and 71 at the UT Health Science Center. Read full story
